To our wonderful children and their families,
I hope you are all as excited as I am to return to school very soon. It seems like such a long time since we have all been together and I am really looking forward to seeing how much you have all grown and hearing about how hard you have been working.
Some of you will be feeling excited, some of you may be feeling a little nervous but I want you all to know that all the teachers and I have been working hard to make sure that school is ready for you and we can all work together to make sure everybody is safe and we can carry on enjoying being part of our fantastic school!
Some things will be a little different when you come back to school – we have to make sure we are washing our hands lots to keep ourselves clean, stay in our areas, some of us will be eating our lunches in our classrooms and we will be staying with our classes and not mixing with other classes. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to have assemblies all together but, we will be having assemblies in our classrooms on our big screens and we will be able to watch each Friday morning as our friends from other classes receive their certificates!
However, there are lots of things that will be exactly the same – you will be learning lots of new things everyday, your teachers will be taking part in fun and exciting lessons and you will be doing lots of other fun activities. It will be so lovely to have our Brentnall family back together.
Next week one of the teachers will be ringing your mums and dads to have a chat and find out about how you have been over the past few weeks. If you have any questions then you will be able to ask them then. Remember, talking about how we are feeling is really important and, just as before, you will be able to talk to any of the adults at school if you are feeling worried or anxious about anything.
I cannot wait for Monday 7th September when we return to school and I get to see all of your smiling faces and greet you as we start our new school year!
Until then, keep safe, keep positive and keep smiling,
