Great work Year 3 we are nearly half way through the school year! Time flies when you’re having fun and this has definitely been the case in Cycle 2! We have gone back in time and researched Stone Age to Iron Age, attracted knowledge through our Science topic of Magnets and forces and continued to amaze us as Mathematicians.

Cycle 2

During our last learning cycle we had lots of fun in Year 3. We have worked extremely hard in all our subjects, and our aim is to keep up the hard working atmosphere we have created. I hope that this cycle we can be successful learners once again!

Welcome to Year 3

Welcome back to a new year at Brentnall; We hope that everyone has had a lovely break. We would like to welcome your child to Year 3.

This year your teachers will be Miss Gorton and Miss Jackson. Also working in Year 3 will be Mrs. Langowski and Mrs Smethurst.  

Homework

This year homework will be sent out on a Friday and should be returned to school on a Wednesday. Each week will include a piece of Maths and a set of spellings that will be tested on a Friday.

Diary

Every child in KS2 has been provided with a school diary, this should be taken home every night along with a reading book that has been chosen by your child. The diary is to be signed and returned the next day to show your child has read at home (15-20 minutes).
