Dear all,

Firstly, a massive thank you for all your help and support so far this year and welcome to the final term of this school year. The children have made great progress and are demonstrating positive attitudes towards their learning.

Our PE lessons are now on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Children must have their full PE kits in school to participate in the lesson therefore, I encourage children to bring in their PE at the start of the new half term and leave it in school until the holidays when the teachers will remind children to take it home to be washed. Please can I remind parents that PE should consist of black shorts and a white t-shirt with black pumps.

Homework and spellings will continue to be sent out on a Friday and should be completed and returned by the following Wednesday. If children do not complete their homework or if they need support to complete their homework they can come to homework club on a Thursday lunchtime. Can all parents / careers please ensure they read with the child every night and sign the reading record which should be brought to school with their reading book daily.

If you have any questions please come and ask.

Mrs. Thompson

Year 3 trip to Manchester Airport

On 25th January, Year 3 visited Manchester Airport as part of their upcoming European Holidays topic. The children had a guided tour of Terminal 1, where they learnt all about the checking in process and what items are allowed to be taken on board.  After a very speedy lunch, the children had the opportunity to go on board a DC10 aircraft. Here they were able to sit in the flight deck and had time to discuss the different roles of staff around the airport. The children and staff had a fantastic time!
