It is hard to believe that we are fastly approaching the end to another fantastic year at Brentnall. With this in mind, I would like to take this opportunity to remind, and share with you a few important pieces of information ready for September.
Earlier this week you should have received a letter advising of our switch to ParentPay for paying dinner money. This system will be a great asset to the school as we make the transition to a cashless operation. If you need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact the School Office or Miss Fenna, who will all be happy to help.
I have really enjoyed listening to how excited the children are about wearing our new school uniform in September. Even though we haven’t even finished for Summer yet, I’m looking forward to seeing all the children across school wearing the new burgundy coloured items and seeing how grown up the children in Year 5 and 6 look in their blazers. If you haven’t already done so, please place an order with the School Office as soon as possible. Any items ordered now will arrive over the summer holidays and we will be in touch when they arrive.
Our Breakfast Club continues to be a valuable resource to parents and is a fantastic opportunity for children to start their school day with a healthy breakfast socialising amongst their friends. Recently, we have seen an increase in the costs to run the club and we would like to update many of our resources available to children; therefore with this in mind, from September there will be a small charge for Breakfast Club of 50p per child per day which can be paid at the School Office.
There was plenty of excitement around school on Wednesday morning when the children found out who their new teacher was for September. The children spent the morning in their new classroom and enjoyed completed ‘getting to know you’ activites with their classmates.
Our Summer Fair is taking place next Friday 14th July from 2pm. Raffle tickets are now on sale, available from the School Office or Mrs. Jackson. We are hoping the sun makes an appearance and makes this fair our best one yet. Please come along and support our fantastic community event.
Today Nursery have visited the Sealife Centre and Year 6 have been taking part in the CBBC Challenge at Salford Quays. We will update you on their visits next week.
